Dr. Duchman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation at the University of Iowa specializing in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.  Dr. Duchman is originally from Cedar Falls, Iowa and obtained his undergraduate degree from Wartburg College prior to completing medical school and orthopedic residency at the University of Iowa.  He completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Duke University prior to joining the faculty at the University of Iowa in August 2018.

Dr. Duchman’s current clinical interests include management of shoulder and lower extremity injuries and disorders in athletes.  He currently provides orthopedic care for the University of Iowa football, soccer, women’s basketball, tennis, track and cross country teams.  His research interests include clinical outcomes and return to sport following athletic injuries with basic science research focused on tendon-to-bone healing and lower extremity biomechanics.
