Dr. Mederic M. Hall is an Associate Professor in the departments of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, Radiology, and Family Medicine at the University of Iowa. He is the Director of Musculoskeletal and Sports Ultrasound for UI Sports Medicine and is the Associate Fellowship Director for the University of Iowa Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic.


He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of muscle and tendon disorders and other sport related musculoskeletal problems with a special interest in the endurance athlete. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has been an invited presenter at over 50 national and international conferences. He is on the Board of Directors and serves as the Chair of the Sports Ultrasound Committee for the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He is a team physician for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, USA Triathlon, and the US Ski Team.
