Overview

Today we will discuss safety, efficacy, and timing of the newer bivalent covid-19 vaccine boosters and how we can fight vaccine fatigue.  (Recorded 10/21/22)

Objectives
  1. Relay to their patient’s and co-workers how these new bivalent vaccine boosters were developed and tested for efficacy and safety.
  2. Acquire detailed knowledge to be able to educate their patients and co-workers on the importance of getting these new vaccines
  3. Discuss vaccine fatigue and how we can inspire others to stay ahead of this virus with these new vaccines.

Registration
There is no charge to listen to the podcast, but registration is required to obtain a credit certificate, and there is a $7.50 credit fee (no charge for UI Faculty, Staff and Adjuncts).

The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CME Credit Designation
The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses
Effective March 18, 2020, Iowa nurses may use participation in ACCME-accredited education toward their CE requirement for licensure. A certificate of participation will be available after successful completion of the course. (Nurses from other states should confirm with their licensing boards that this activity meets their state's licensing requirements.)
