Overview

This course was originally released 12/1/1995. The latest review and update was completed 6/30/2024.

CLIA -  CME Course for Lab Directors of Moderate Complexity Laboratories is designed to meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) requirement at 42 CFR 493.1405(b)(2)(ii)(B). (This requirement is specific to physician and podiatrist directors of moderate complexity laboratories.)  

Intended Audience
Doctors of medicine, osteopathy and podiatry seeking to fulfill the CLIA requirement at 42 CFR 493.1405(b)(2)(ii)(B). 

How to Complete the Course
There are 20 interactive self-paced modules that must be completed in order. Each module includes a post-test for which a score of 70% or higher is required, and the expectation is that the learner will pass the post-test within 3 attempts. Registration

Registration fee:  $475.00. The course must be completed within 12 months of registering.

MOC is not available with this course.

3. After completing the module, return here and complete the post-test.* A minimum score of 70% is required, and the expectation is that you will pass the test within 3 attempts.
4. Wait a moment for the screen to refresh, after which you'll have access to the next module; repeat steps 1-3.
5. After passing the 20th post-test, follow prompts to complete an evaluation.
6. After you submit your evaluation, credits will be applied to your transcript, and you can print a certificate from 'Evaluations & Certificates'.
