Objectives
  1. Recognize appropriate and safe use of narcotic pain medication within the context of behavioral health care
  2. Talk with patients about the medical indications for marijuana and how recent legislation impacts its use in mental health treatment
  3. Diagnose autism in adults and develop behavioral plan for disruptive behaviors
  4. Prescribe new psychotropic treatments for tardive dyskinesia and treatment of parkinson's psychosis
  5. Use appropriate terminology with patients on the gender/sexuality continuum and understand the impact of gender identity and sexuality on mental health
  6. Discuss risks and benefits of psychotropic medications with patients who are or may become pregnant or decide to breastfeed
