  1. Identify the national issues with maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity
  2. Discuss current and future trends that may affect maternal M&M
  3. Examine current evidence on obstetrical outcomes for rural residents
  4. Discuss what patients get from social media and how to leverage it
  5. Discuss recent Obstetric and Gynecology research findings
  6. Describe how implicit bias affects clinicians and patients
  7. Explain the challenges facing rural obstetric care in the state of Iowa
  8. Discuss maternal health policy development and advocacy in public health
  9. Describe how a quality collaborative can work with state-wide organizations to effect change

Registration

Registration Fee:  $50

No charge for University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students.  Must have a HawkID to receive a free registration.

Cancellation Policy:  There is a cancellation fee of $10.  No refunds for no shows or cancellations made after November 18, 2020.  



Accreditation

The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician: The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
