49th Annual Family Medicine Refresher Course

This three-day virtual course with lectures will provide clinical practice updates for family medicine providers including pediatrics, outpatient, inpatient, obstetrical and procedural based activities.

Zoom links will be emailed to registered participants a few days before the course.  Each day will have a unique Zoom ID.  

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (18.75 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (18.75 hours)

1. Apply evidence based knowledge for chronic disease care in family medicine and to update current practice ideas
2. Apply evidence based knowledge acute care issues in family medicine
3. Discuss updated practice guidelines to improve the doctor-patient relationship

Registration for two-day virtual course:   $200.00
Registration for three-day virtual course: $300.00

Cancellation Policy
There is a cancellation fee of $25.  No refunds for no shows or cancellations made after April 1, 2022.  

The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician:  The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.   

Nurse: Effective March 18, 2020, Iowa nurses may use participation in ACCME-accredited education toward their CE requirement for licensure. A certificate of participation will be available after successful completion of the course. (Nurses from other states should confirm with their licensing boards that this activity meets their state's licensing requirements.)
