No, it's actually not another variant of SARS-CoV-2.  In this episode we'll learn about Monkeypox: what it is, where it originated, how it's transmitted, diagnosed, and treated  (Recorded 6/2/22)

Objectives
  1. Recite the pathophysiology of Monkeypox.
  2. Convey to their patients accurate statistics on risk of monkeypox infection, how to stay safe and what to do if a monkeypox infection is suspected.
  3. Compare Monkeypox with COVID-19 infections regarding transmissibility, morbidity and mortality.

Registration
There is no charge to listen to the podcast, but registration is required to obtain a credit certificate, and there is a $3.75 credit fee (no charge for UI Faculty, Staff and Adjuncts).

The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
