The program is designed to present health care teams with current knowledge about diagnosis, management, and prevention of a variety of injuries commonly incurred in sports participation and to emphasize uniquely influential factors that must be addressed in the provision of the highest quality of care to the competitive athlete. We will present specific performance improvement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of detectable problems that exist in athletes. In addition to lectures, interactive discussions will be offered to enhance the participant’s understanding of the topics presented.

Cancellation Policy
There is a cancellation fee of $25.  No refunds for no shows or cancellations made after December 2, 2022.

Physician:  The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.   

Athletic Trainer:  The University of Iowa (BOC AP# P648) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This Category A activity is eligible for a maximum of 11.0 CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Nurse:  As of March 18, 2020, Iowa nurses may use participation in ACCME-accredited education toward their CE requirement for licensure. A certificate of participation will be available after successful completion of the course. Please review the Iowa Board of Nursing's website for more information.   

Other Provider:  All participants may receive a certificate of participation for this conference upon completion of the online evaluation.   It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the continuing education programs they attend meet the requirements of their professional licensure board.
