Overview
PFCCS course combines expert-developed lectures with hands-on skill stations to train nonintensivists and other healthcare professionals to recognize critical illness and initiate care for the critically ill pediatric patient. This course addresses fundamental management principles for the first 24 hours of post-resuscitation management of the critically ill pediatric patient until transfer or appropriate critical care consultation can be arranged and is recommended for  healthcare professionals and teams who may encounter a critically ill or injured pediatric patient. This course also focuses on improving inter-professional collaborative practice and health outcomes.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (16.25 hours), ANCC Contact Hours (16.25 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (16.25 hours)

Objectives
  1. Prioritize assessment needs for the critically ill or injured infant or child
  2. Select appropriate diagnostic tests
  3. Responds to significant changes in the unstable pediatric patient
  4. Determine the need for expert consultation and/or patient transfer and the optimal methodology accomplishing patient transfer
  5. Recognize and initiate management of acute, life-threatening conditions

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be made via email to [email protected] by the end of the day May 1, 2023.  Such requests will be refunded the cost of registration less a $50 per person fee.  Any requests for cancellation/refunds after that date will not be honored.

Parking is available in hospital parking ramps 1 or 3.  The cost ($20/day) for parking is not included in the registration fee and is not validated.  We strongly encourage you to use the CAMBUS service.
