This 1.5 day activity is designed to increase the health care team's ability to recognize the progress made in understanding of the disease process, therapy and testing for diabetes, obesity, and its complications. It aims to discuss strategy to maximize benefits and minimize harms of new therapy and diagnostics for obesity, diabetes, and its complications.

1. Discuss diverse dietary interventions for the management of obesity
2. Discuss the indications for use of CGM and describe the various type of CGMs
3. Describe the various types of and discuss how to calculate insulin dose and make adjustments
4. Identify the tools in bariatric endoscopy currently available for management of obesity”
5. Describe automated insulin delivery functionality in currently available insulin pumps
6. Discuss nutrition recommendations and discussions for people living with diabetes
7. Implement strategies to reduce clinical inertia in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes.
8. Explore unequal burdens of obesity in our society for racialized populations
9. Discuss efficacy and mechanisms of recently developed and current investigative therapies for diabetes and obesity, with a perspective on emerging theories of weight and metabolism control
