Objectives
  1. Describe collaboration between the Department of OB/GYN and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program that provides support for pregnant patients and their families.
  2. Identify the various ways children experience palliative support.
  3. Evaluate barriers and benefits to be considered with transition in care from pediatric to adult providers.
  4. Discuss practical matters to address around end of life, including review of resources available to assist families with next steps after death.
  5. Describe the experience of families who have children receiving palliative care support.

Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 6.50 social work clinical continuing education credits.
