Iowa Pediatric and Emergency Critical Care Case Review (IPECCC)

Virtually presented educational session that includes a case presentation, several didactic lectures, and virtual case simulation. This activity also focuses on improving inter-professional collaborative practice and health outcomes.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (2.75 hours), ANCC Contact Hours (2.75 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (2.75 hours)

1. Describe the clinical approach to status asthmaticus in the emergency department.
2. Recognize life-threatening conditions and implement urgent management for critically ill children.
3. Implement appropriate pediatric triage and transfer to a higher level of care.
4. Share learning experiences and develop professional relationships with colleagues across the continuum of patient care.
