Overview

Location and Parking
The conference is being held in the Medical Education Research Facility (MERF), which is located at 375 Newton Road in Iowa City.  

Parking is available for $20 per day in the Newton Road Ramp, located at 360 Newton Road, across the street from the Medical Education and Research Facility.  

MERF is also accessible via public transportation for Iowa City, Coralville, and CAMBUS.  

Building Entrance:  To enter MERF use the West Atrium Entrance. Follow the sidewalk on the west side of the building to the set of doors located at the top of the hill. The conference registration desk will be inside these doors, where you may register and pick up your conference packet. 
The conference will take place in Room 1110 Prem Sahai Auditorium.  

Overview
The goal of this annual interprofessional conference is to improve delivery of culturally sensitive and responsive health care to increasingly diverse patient populations.

  2. Identify barriers to care for the most vulnerable patients.

Physician - $100 (AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM)
All other attendees* - $50
Student** - $10

*All other attendees include (but not limited to): Residents, Fellows, Dental Professionals, Allied Health Providers, Public Health 
**Student is defined as an individual going to school full-time or part-time and not holding a current license to practice.

Fees include registration, educational materials, CME/CE Credit, and lunch.

Cancelation Policy:  There is a cancelation fee of $25 (excluding student registration).  No refunds for no shows or cancellations made after May 30, 2024.


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physician: The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
