AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring

The Advanced FHM course conveys the application of advanced fetal heart monitoring knowledge and skills.

Non-Physician Attendance (7.00 hours)

1. Describe physiologic principles of maternal and fetal oxygen transfer as they apply to principles of fetal heart monitoring.
2. Appraise the fetal response to maternal pathological and physiological adaptations during the labor process.
3. Analyze complex case studies and tracings using standardized terminology.
4. Apply perinatal risk management principles, communication techniques, and documentation strategies to complex and challenging patient care scenarios.

UIHC OB Nurses: No registration fee (Course materials will be provided)
UIHC OB Providers: No registration fee, AWHONN course materials must be purchased by attendee or attendees department 
External Attendees: $177 registration fee, AWHONN required course materials must be purchased by attendee

CME is not provided through UIHC. 

Participants who attend the full day of the course are awarded seven (7) hours of continuing nursing education (CNE) credit or seven (7) hours of continuing medical education (CME) credit.
