Overview
The purpose of this conference is to expand existing knowledge of nurses interested in medicine and psychiatry.

Objectives
  1. Recognize and distinguish movement disorders commonly seen in psychiatric patients and identify evidence-based approaches to their management.
  2. Recognize early signs of agitation and apply appropriate non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic interventions in the inpatient setting.
  3. Identify early signs of clozapine induced myocarditis to support timely recognition and escalation of care.
  4. Define the six key principles of trauma-informed care.
  5. Demonstrate the importance of early recognition and the role of a multidisciplinary team in mercury toxicity.
