When is it appropriate to reduce or eliminate prescriptions? In this episode we'll discuss deprescribing and polypharmacy with two experts in geriatrics.

1. Explain deprescribing and the benefits to their peers and patients.
2. Identify the right time, the right age groups and the right types of medications that should be considered for deprescribing.
3. Increase their confidence in and apply de-prescribing strategies in patient care settings.

There is no charge to listen to the podcast, but registration is required to obtain a credit certificate, and there is a $11.25 credit fee (no charge for UI Faculty, Staff and Adjuncts).

Effective March 18, 2020, Iowa nurses may use participation in ACCME-accredited education toward their CE requirement for licensure. A certificate of participation will be available after successful completion of the course. (Nurses from other states should confirm with their licensing boards that this activity meets their state's licensing requirements.)
