Emphasizing the interprofessional team approach to patient care, this program combines annual internal medicine and pharmacy continuing education programs. Topics include: Cardiovascular Medicine; General Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Hospital Medicine, and Pulmonary and Critical Care.

1. Discuss the basic pathophysiology of various disease states including, cardiovascular medicine, pulmonary crtiical care, nephrology general internal medicine and hospitalist medicine.,
2. Compare and contrast the safety and efficacy of various treatment options.
3. Apply clinical reasoning skills and current treatment guidelines to patient cases.

Fees include CME/CE credit, registration, educational materials, continental breakfast, and refreshment breaks.

Cancellation Policy
All but $50 of the fee is refundable if inability to attend is made known on or before September 26, 2024. Refunds will not be made after this date.

Physician:  The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 9.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Pharmacist: The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine designates this knowledge-based activity for a maximum of 11.75 ACPE contact hours. Credit will be uploaded to the NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity completion. Pharmacists must provide their NABP ID and DOB (MMDD) to receive credit.
