The 8:15 am APP Session is in the Ziffren Auditorium (1501-Z JCP)  located inside the Dept. of Surgery Administrative offices near Elevator H.  Attendees do not need to check in at the conference first.  Attendance will be taken at the session.  Attendees can walk over to the Press Box after the session adjourns at 9:15. 

Annual Surgery Postgraduate Conference to increase medical knowledge and practice performance of the surgical care team.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (4.25 hours), ABS CC (4.25 hours), ANCC Contact Hours (4.25 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (4.00 hours)

1. Incorporate validated teaching strategies in teaching of surgical trainees.
2. Discuss the challenges in the practice of rural surgery.
3. Describe key steps of common surgeries performed by general surgeons
4. Discuss approaches to obtain funding in quality improvement
5. Describe how to get prioritization in the health system for your initiatives
6. Discuss how to turn quality improvement into academic career advancement

**Student is defined as an individual going to school full-time or part-time, not holding a current license to practice, and not needing CE credit.

A $25 fee will be charged for all canceled registrations.
