Ophthalmology Comprehensive Clinical Conference

Describe up-to-date ocular treatments and therapies and how those correlate to patient care. More effectively describe, diagnose and treat common and rare ocular diseases. Recall research being conducted in our Department and the Institute of Vision Research.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (4.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (4.00 hours)

1. Discuss the process for implementing new technology in an ophthalmology practice.
2. Highlight the pre-operative considerations that go into placing a premium IOL.
3. Review the Light Adjustable IOL and the studies demonstrating its outcomes.
4. Describe the patient flow and experience at Vance Thompson Vision with the LAL.
5. Discuss the financial implications for practices implementing new technology.
6. Review our standard work-up for patients and decision tree for premium IOL.
7. Understand which patients are good candidates for each of the different technologies.
8. Describe post operative management and expectations in patients getting a premium IOL
9. Review Premium IOL in patients with ocular pathologies.

All but $25.00 of the fee is refundable if inability to attend is made known on or before October 6, 2023.  No refunds for cancellations made after October 6, 2023, or no shows.
