This conference will be held virtually through Zoom.

The purpose of this conference is to discuss multidisciplinary innovations in orthopedic patient management and considerations both in and outside the hospital setting.

Objectives
  1. Recognize the wide spectrum of pelvic ring injuries and the necessity of multidisciplinary management in the polytraumatized patient.
  2. Discuss nursing feedback from personal experience of total joint replacement and suggestions that help to get ready at home before surgery.
  3. Define trauma informed care and identify examples of its use in the medical system.
  4. Explore perspectives of living with “different abilities”.
  5. Discuss post-operation management guidelines, basic prosthetic principles, general timelines of treatment, insurance coverage and when to get a prosthetist involved in care of new or potential amputees.
  6. Identify answers to trivia questions on the subject of orthopedics, orthopedic conditions and nursing care of patients with orthopedic diagnosis.
  7. Discuss the presentation and basic management of injuries commonly associated with pickleball.
  8. Discuss the importance of multi-disciplinary management of the complex care for patients with cerebral palsy.
  9. Discuss the role of physical therapy as part of the interdisciplinary team for a safe and efficient same day discharge for total joint patients.
  10. Discuss the advantage of robotic joint replacement.

Registration Fee:

$60 (Add $15 after 4/4/2025)

Refund: Full (minus $10 cancellation fee) if notification received on or before 4/14/2025.

The registration fee covers advertising, CE recording and registration administrative costs.

Accreditation
