The theme of this OB/Gyn Postgraduate Course is Menopause Matters: Advancing Care Through the Midlife Transition. The postgraduate course will feature interactive lectures with faculty with expertise in the diagnosis and therapy of conditions during the perimenopausal period for women. The course will also feature a scientific poster session and resident presentations highlighting research from the Department of OB/Gyn.

1. Evaluate and apply evidence-based strategies for managing menopause, including appropriate use of hormone therapy, non-hormonal options, and lifestyle interventions, while practicing patient-centered communication to develop individualized care plans that improve outcomes and quality of life.
2. Summarize the historical evolution of menopause care and hormone therapy
3. Define premature menopause and perimenopause and their clinical criteria
4. Review breast cancer screening guidelines for midlife women, including approaches for dense breasts
5. Identify the signs and symptoms of GSM in peri- and postmenopausal women
6. Describe the changes in cardiometabolic risk factors during midlife and menopause
7. Review hormonal and non-hormonal therapies for symptom management
8. Define Female sexual interest/arousal disorder (previous HSDD)
9. Recognize cultural, social, influences on menopause experience and care

Cancellation Policy
All but $25 of the fee is refundable if inability to attend is made known on or before November 7, 2025. Refunds will not be made after this date.
