Living Their Best Lives: Supporting Children with Complex Illness

All health care providers who care for pediatric patients with chronic conditions are encouraged to join us. This educational program offers sessions highlighting unique resources designed to support children with complex conditions in leading fulfilling, meaningful lives.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (6.25 hours), ANCC Contact Hours (6.25 hours), ASWB Clinical CE Credit (6.25 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (6.25 hours)

1. Describe one family’s experience of turning significant challenges into fulfillment in life.
2. Examine one coach’s perspective of supporting a player through unexpected, life-altering challenges.
3. Review the activities and resources offered from various non-profit organizations for children so they may be immersed in fun and meaningful experiences that will enhance their lives.
4. Develop strategies for offering life-enriching activities and resources to children with complex illness.
5. Review key concepts in medical optimization of play for children with medical complexity.
6. Consider ways to engage with organizations that support children with medical complexity using your unique skillset.

Other Health Care Provider: A certificate of participation will be available after successful completion of an online evaluation. It is the responsibility of the licensees to determine if this continuing education activity meets the requirements of their professional licensure board.
